Ok so I haven’t blogged properly in what seems like a long time.

I don’t really have one reason, probably more like three or four. First off I haven’t been up to much really that I felt like blogging about. Secondly a lot of the blogs I used to follow have bitten the dust, so I didn’t really have that much to repost. Thirdly, work has been hectic to say the least. I’ve left the Entertainment department that I used to work in and have moved to Factual programming, for the time being at least.

That’s been a bit of an adjustment. I don’t consider myself to be the type of person that’s suited to documentaries and so on. My general knowledge is random to say the least, and I’d say I’m probably best at working on Entertainment type formats. Also I don’t take life very seriously, which is probably why Entertainment is more suited to me.

Anyway, I’m learning a lot at work. I spent three months developing pitches for The One Show, and now I’m developing up some ideas for local TV here. I’ve been told I’m going to be spending some time over in London working on a network show, but the way that’s going at the moment, it doesn’t look like it’s going to be any time soon. It keeps getting postponed and postponed.

This is turning into a bit of a ramble, but anyway… I’ve hardly been out this year, haven’t been to many new places, and have just holidayed in Dallas, so nothing really new there. So overall I just felt I didn’t have that much to talk about. I plan to do more, get out more and go new places next year, so hopefully that’ll give me stuff to write about.
