My wee sister Ailse called me last night all excited about a new purchase she had made – Jelly, a little rabbit! It looks really cute, doesn’t it?

She called me this morning to say Jelly was going back to the shop – her room smelled of rabbit and she didn’t know what she would do with Jelly during the holidays.

I think my sis would be brilliant at looking after a pet, as she is crazy about animals, but maybe now is not the right time. It was maybe a bit of an impulse purchase. Think before you buy a pet is the moral of the story I guess!

But as the lady in the pet shop pointed out when Ailse took her back – Jelly had a nice holiday for a day and had a bit of fun.
