I got stopped by the police this morning on my way into Canary Wharf tube station. They were doing one of their Stop and Search things, where they’re looking for terrorists.
They were very polite, and apologetic so it was cool – didn’t really have a problem with it at all. Only thing was I asked what was done with all the information they took (i.e. my height, what I was wearing, colour of hair, etc.!) and was just told it would be “worked through the system”.
I understand that people are likely to be searched given what happened in London recently, and I’m all for that, but it would have been good if I’d got a more detailed answer about what happens with all my details I think. I don’t want to end up on some system somewhere!
